Grading of exams

You do not have to take comprehensive midterm and final exams. Instead we will have five smaller exams throughout the semester. This will help you to keep up with the material and improve your ability to work on projects and cases.

Four out of five exams will count towards your final grade. You may skip one exam or if you take all five exams only the four highest grades will count. Each exam will count for 10 % towards your final grade.

The exams will consist of a number of open-ended questions (typically five). Some are more essay-type questions and others involve calculations. One week before the exam, a list of questions will be made available (listed in the class notes and posted on the website). The exam will consist of a selection of those questions. The distribution of points is indicated on the exam.

See the weekly syllabus for the material covered in the exams.
